The twenty piece George Lake Big Band has thrilled audiences around the Greater Toronto Area for over a decade with their combination of sassy brass and swinging saxes coupled with fine vocals. Whether you are looking for sophisticated sounds of yesteryear or hard driving swing the George Lake Big Band can cover it. Weddings, celebrations, jazz festivals are all taken in stride by this versatile unit that has played the Metro Convention Centre, Casa Loma, the Granite Club, National Yacht Club, The Toronto Jazz Festival, Beaches Jazz Festival......well you get the idea.....everywhere! Featuring Swing Shift Canada

Swing Shift Big Band was formed in 1996 to present the finest in big band entertainment and has since become recognized as one of the premier big bands in Canada. The band offers a full 19 piece version featuring two phenomenal singers and the 11 piece band specializes in weddings and all ages dances for corporate and private events.

The band has played to audiences in excess of 6000 people and some of the finest venues in Ontario including the Flato Markham Theatre, Mississauga Living Arts Centre, Kingston Isabel Bader Centre for the performing arts, Port Hope Capital theatre, Lindsay Flato Academy Theatre, Harbourfront Centre and Ontario Place to name a few.

We have hundreds of outdoor performances under our belts to audiences of all ages, catering to jazz festivals, park concerts, outdoor dances and more.

We have performed with swing dancers and high profile singers such as Matt Dusk, Jackie Richardson, Cal Dodd and Heather Bambrick many times to round out our accomplishments.

Inspired by the music of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin, Ori Dagan’s Tribute to The Rat Pack is a program which has been performed across Canada and internationally, echoing the swing, swagger and legacy of “the coolest cats of all time.” The award-winning crooner will be accompanied by a 16-piece big band directed by Bruce Mackinnon. Without resorting to impersonations or gimmicks, The Rat Pack Songbook Show focuses on the entertaining songs of the era, from “I've Got You Under My Skin” and “The Lady is a Tramp” to “Sway” and “My Way.” An unforgettable, swingin' salute to your favourite songs from way back when!
